WES DEHART

EDUCATION:

Wesley deHart is a graduate of Jenks High School (2007) and obtained an AAS from Tulsa Community College and is a specialist with a certificate in Digital Media. He is also a licensed Drone Pilot for drone photography/videography.

 

PHOTOJOURNALIST (2 News Oklahoma):

Currently Wesley is employed at the NBC affiliate news station Channel 2 News Oklahoma in Tulsa. Before that he was employed with Channel 6 (CBS) from 2015-2021 as a photojournalist and has covered hundreds of stories across Oklahoma including storms, politics, breaking news, marathons, and personal stories. His experience includes shooting and editing the events that are the daily news stories that touch every segment of Tulsa and neighboring cities.

 

FILMMAKER:

Wesley has been directing, shooting, editing, and acting in his own films for nearly a decade with approximately 100 short films. His short films have been featured in festivals around the world and he most recently was awarded a "Most Original Concept" award at the Atlanta Comedy Film Festival.  Wesley has experience in directing and filming in multiple genres including music videos, comedies, horror, and documentaries, to name only a few.

He is experienced with Adobe Premier Pro, Photoshop, After Effects, Avid News Editor/Avid News Cutter, Adobe Audition, and Final Cut Pro X. As a director and editor Wesley is able to bring to the customer's needs many of the best tools and special effects in the film industry.

PHOTOGRAPHY:

Portraits and Pet photography is another area that Wesley enjoys and in using digital photography along with photoshop he will be able to bring you and your portraits to life for whatever needs you may have.

 

PHILOSOPHY OF FILMING AND WORKING WITH CUSTOMERS:

As a filmmaker, I pride myself in capturing more than just the event but capturing the emotion and soul of the event whether it be a personal film, a music video, or a documentary. For those customers who have an idea of what they are wanting with multiple cameras, angles, settings, lighting, effects, sound recording, and editing the final project.
